Birthday Haul! Urban Decay, Kat Von D, Too Faced

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, but I hope to get back to posting, at least weekly. I figured I should get back in the swing of things by posting about the things I got myself for my birthday this year! (Plus I rewarded myself for getting a great grade in my Summer class) So I went browsing Sephora for goodies, especially since their birthday gift was so much better than Ulta's this year. (Ulta was going to give ma a free sample of an UD 24/7 liner in a purple shade, Voodoo, I believe, and I would NEVER wear it, so I ordered from Sephora instead.)




I've been looking at these products for a while. I even did my own recon by looking up swatches and reviews, to see if they were all worth it. I'll have to test everything out for sure to see if they are, but initial impressions are showing good signs.

• The Formula X nail polish was on sale for $3 or $4 dollars I think. A It is a gorgeous shade of blue/gray that's all sparkle. It's going to look great with a blue polish I got as a sample with my order. When it arrived the black cap was broken though. No damage to the product, thankfully.
• The two Nars pencils were the birthday gift from Sephora this year. (Amazing!) The colors are both gorgeous. A matte red, Cruella, and a shimmery/satin like pink, Rikugen. I'll get wear out of both of these. They don't twist up, which means sharpening is going to be a pain..
• Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick in the shade Melted Fig is the only thing I haven't swatched yet. Out of all the Melted shades this one looked the most "me" and I can't wait to try it out.
• Kat Von D had a little set of the two lip products together. I haven't tried anything of hers before but I've heard good things so I thought it was worth to try. The Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is to die for. Absolutely gorgeous! The Studded Kiss Lipstick is a pretty light nude pink color, I swatched it and it was kinda stiff at first but then looked like a nice color. It has a very strong sweet vanilla cake smell, but the liquid lippies have no smell.
• Probably what I am most excited for is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette. All of these shades look beautiful. Urban Decay's shadows are one of my favorites. This Basics Palette looked so much better than the original one. Meaning I'll get more use out of this one since the shades are more varied.

All in all I am happy with what I purchased. I will do an in depth review/post on the products separately as I use them and that's where I will place my final thoughts. Everything looks like it will receive good reviews though.
